We are seeking a highly skilled candidate to provide expert guidance and solutions across our entire business enterprise, specifically focused on the Oracle Retail Merchandising System (RMS) . This role requires strong leadership and collaboration with both business and development teams to identify requirements for designing, developing, modeling, and utilizing business data, functionality, and reporting.

The ideal candidate will conduct functional analysis at the business level and develop solutions that address both business and system needs. Responsibilities include defining architecture, documenting processes, overseeing development, and managing testing and remediation efforts within our solutions delivery team. You will lead the end-to-end design, implementation, and support of various enterprise solutions, from internal applications to third-party hosted solutions.

Candidates must possess the ability to work independently and collaboratively with business partners and team members. Proactively identifying opportunities to enhance business processes and drive revenue will be crucial. You will work closely with vendors and cross-functional project teams to translate requirements into comprehensive functional and technical specifications. Strong collaboration with internal and external resources is essential to deliver solutions on time and within budget.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Define, design, document, and assist in the development and testing of enterprise-level solutions, ensuring consistency and integration with existing data structures.
  • Provide architectural expertise in areas such as Accounting, Sales Tax, Retail and Inventory Integrations, E-commerce, Store Operations, Marketing, Loss Prevention, and Omni-channel implementations.
  • Deliver insights to executives to support informed business decision-making.
  • Actively participate in hands-on solution development, guiding team members and users while supporting analysis and discovery processes.
  • Recommend supplementary data analytics technologies and data sources as needed.
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert in areas related to business support.
  • Analyze solution performance and recommend improvements.
  • Support IT solution architecture projects to ensure on-time, on-budget, and scope-compliant delivery.
  • Plan, track, and manage project deliverables and timelines, collaborating with internal business and IT leaders.
  • Mentor and contribute to the career growth of IT department members, particularly in solutions teams.
  • Lead internal non-executive projects, ensuring accountability to stakeholders and business partners.
  • Maintain close contact with key end-user representatives to ensure technologies deliver intended value.
  • Safeguard company assets and financial information by ensuring the effectiveness of internal control procedures and reporting potential fraud risks.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Information Technology, Business Management, or a related field.
  • Daily hands-on experience with Oracle Retail Management System is required.
  • 7+ years of relevant work experience with in-depth knowledge of retail business processes and systems; retail business user experience is a plus.
  • Strong visual design skills for creating clear, information-dense workflow and system diagrams.
  • Experience in software and business solution architecture design.
  • Expert problem-solving, process definition, and analytical skills.
  • Familiarity with Data Architecture and Master Data Management principles.
  • Proficiency with analytical tools such as SQL, MicroStrategy, and Alteryx.
  • Experience with Oracle Retail products and platforms (e.g., RMS, MFCS, ReSA, IPO, Xstore, Locate, Relate) is advantageous.
  • Understanding of Oracle APEX development, Spring, Java, and Kubernetes is a plus.
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and organizational skills are essential. The ability to prioritize and deliver in a fast-paced, project-oriented environment is key to success in this role.
