Java Developer

STS has a client that is looking for candidate’s wo are comfortable working on large releases with multiple developers, projects and business partners. Additionally, you should be comfortable working with and debugging integrations with other systems. The ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience with a multi-tier application architecture and will have demonstrated an ability to greatly improve existing processes and procedures.

Required Skills:

  • Enhancing and supporting applications used to manage communication and outreach.
  • Developing and integrating Java (Spring)-based APIs for distributed systems.
  • Writing and optimizing complex SQL queries for DB2 databases.
  • Collaborating daily in a team environment, including peer programming.
  • Handling ad hoc requests for data, reporting, and cross-team support.
  • Following regulatory best practices for compliance.
  • Required:
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Deep familiarity with both SOAP and RESTful web services.
  • Experience with stored procedures, MQ, or Java Batch is a plus.
  • Bonus Skills:
  • exposure to COBOL or JCL/mainframe systems.
